The recruiting process for Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa won’t end until next Sunday, when the elite 2024 California linebacker announces his decision.
But the portion of that process that involves any type of outside influence will effectively end today.
The St. John Bosco star will be getting away all next week and be out of contact with any of the schools and coaching staffs recruiting him.
“I have a youth church camp in the mountains with my youth group,” Viliamu-Asa told Irish Sports Daily. “Leaving on Monday, come back Friday.”
It’s obvious Viliamu-Asa, who narrowed his list to Notre Dame, Ohio State and USC months ago, has been looking forward to this time away.
“Just unplugging and getting a chance to isolate myself, just me and God, get away from social media, get away from everybody and just spend time with Him,” he told ISD.
It sounds like Viliamu-Asa will head to the mountains with a favorite school in mind.
“I’m feeling pretty strong about it,” he said.
“I just want to make sure I’m making the right decision.”
