2025 Notre Dame LB Target Noah Mikhail Plans To Return
August has been a little hectic for Noah Mikhail now that college coaches can reach out directly to the 2025 California linebacker.
“It's been good,” he says. “Pretty busy with phone calls and texts, but it's been good.”
The Bonita High School star has dozens of scholarship offers already from schools like Notre Dame, USC, UCLA, Stanford, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M, Michigan, Ohio State, Georgia and Florida among several others.
Notre Dame is one school that has been hitting the 6-foot-3, 215-pounder up plenty. He spoke with them and was texting with Irish head coach Marcus Freeman last week.
“I've been in pretty good contact with them,” he says. “It was just checking up, seeing how fall is going. 'Good luck,' type of conversation.
“It definitely makes me feel the love. It shows the love, so that's a very important part of it.”
Mikhail has already been to South Bend twice – for the Clemson game last fall and again this past April. He plans to get back for another game this fall, but at least one date won’t work.
“I know I'm not going to be able to make the Ohio State-Notre Dame game, but I'm definitely going to come out for one of them,” he says.
His interest in the Irish is partly due to their interest in him.
“Just the constant contact, the school itself, the program, the history,” he says. “I love the coaching staff and I just want to keep building that relationship and see where that takes me.
He also expects to hit games at USC, Ohio State, Alabama, Washington and Texas.
Look for him to sort out some favorites within the next few months as he works toward a decision.
“I'm going to start narrowing it down after season and then probably be committing around this time next year,” he says.
He knows what he’s looking for in a college.
“Obviously the constant contact is big and then obviously the program, the fit, and then the family, how it feels to be there.”
