2026 OL Dylan Biehl Previews Notre Dame Trip
Dylan Biehl made a trip to South Bend to check out Notre Dame back in February.
“It was awesome,” the 2026 Georgia offensive lineman says. “Seeing Touchdown Jesus, seeing the whole field, the practice facility. It was just awesome.”
Biehl says it was “really cool” to meet head coach Marcus Freeman and offensive line coach Joe Rudolph.
“It was just a lot of fun getting to see the culture of Notre Dame for the first time,” he adds.
He was especially impressed with Rudolph.
“He has the type of demeanor that I like as a coach,” the 6-foot-5, 240-pounder says. “He wasn't ripping guys. He was calm and just a teacher. I think that's really important for coaches.”
Biehl picked up his first offer - from Indiana - earlier this month.
“Getting an offer as a sophomore is super rare, obviously,” he says. “It's really surreal. So just having that feeling that all the work you've already put in being paid off is really cool.”
The Lambert High School standout will return to South Bend this weekend.
“They sent me a link of games that I could apply to go to, and I chose the Pitt game this weekend as the game I wanted to go to back in August or September,” he says. “So it's been a while in the making to get all the travel set up and all that, but I'm very excited.
“I'm excited to see a game in person because I've watched some Notre Dame games over the years on TV. I think actually seeing it in person is really cool.”
Biehl has been in contact with Notre Dame Director of Recruiting Chad Bowden leading up to the trip and is looking forward to it.
“Notre Dame is a football haven,” he says. “It's been one of the powerhouses in college football for as long as anybody can remember. Having a school like that in some of your top levels of consideration is obviously really cool.
He’s already made trips to Kansas State and Duke this fall. He planned to go to UCLA, but that looks unlikely at this point.
Biehl says college coaches have complimented his game and frame.
“I think I pass the eye test,” he says. “I carry weight well, I have a strong lower body and upper body and a good balanced frame.
“I think a lot of people like the way I finish blocks. That's something that's always been told, that I'm a finisher. I just play through the whistle, play nasty, play hard. I think that's something that's in my control and I try to control that each and every snap.”
Biehl has an idea of how he’s going to go about choosing one school in the end.
“I think it's a balance between where I can play personally and be a part of something special.”
