The Irish view their ability to land legacy prospects as crucial in roster makeup, so long as they’re “elite Power 5 kids,” which Flanigan certainly is as the top-ranked player in Wisconsin.

The 2025 Wisconsin tight end announced his commitment to Notre Dame a week ago over offers from schools like Stanford, Wisconsin, Michigan and Penn State.
