Top 2026 WR Brody Keefe Enjoys Notre Dame Visit

October 30, 2023

Notre Dame hosted several underclassmen over the weekend and one of the top prospects was 2026 Myers Park (N.C.) receiver Brody Keefe‍.

It was the first trip to South Bend for the 6-foot-3, 185-pounder and it certainly seems like Notre Dame left a lasting impression.

“Notre Dame is full of tradition,” Keefe told ISD. “It was really cool to see the history in person.”

The NCAA prevents in-person contact with 2026 recruits off campus, so Saturday was an important visit for Keefe to get a feel for Notre Dame receivers coach Chansi Stuckey, who is familiar with recruiting Charlotte area receivers as he landed 2024 receiver Micah Gilbert‍.

“Coach Stuckey was awesome,” stated Keefe. “He brings good energy and is really excited about the future here.”

During the game, Keefe was paying close attention to the Notre Dame offense and took note of more than a few details, including the youth movement at receiver.

“I liked how the offense spread the ball around,” explained Keefe. “Seeing freshmen on the field is always a plus for me. Coach Stuckey seems to be about giving everyone a chance for playing time no matter how young as long as they earn it.”

In addition to getting to have a conversation with Stuckey, Keefe was able to meet and start to build a relationship with head coach Marcus Freeman.

“Coach Stuckey and Coach Freeman commented that they like what I’m doing on the field,” Keefe stated. “They’re excited to see how I continue to perform. I hadn’t had any contact with them so it was cool that they knew so much about my season. I really like what they bring to Notre Dame.”

Myers Park did have a game on Friday night, so Keefe wasn’t able to see too much of Notre Dame, but did experience enough to want to come back.

“We got there just before the event kicked off so I didn’t get to see much,” said Keefe. “I had a game Friday night so that put us flying in just before. Next time I’ll definitely see more.”

Keefe also is aware of the Notre Dame connection in Charlotte and played 7-on-7 with 2024 Notre Dame tight end commit Jack Larsen. The area connections won’t sway his decision, but Keefe is excited to see how Larsen and Gilbert develop in South Bend.

“It was great to see Jack on Saturday and get his feedback but overall I'm basing my decisions on the best fit for me personally,” said Keefe. “I’m excited to see Jack and Micah up here next year.”
