Recruiting Notes and Visitors
In addition to 2026 Florida State linebacker commit Karon Maycock, Notre Dame's offensive line commits and 2028 defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou being on campus for the next day, the Irish will also host 2027 St. Joseph-Ogden (Ill.) offensive lineman Cameron Wagner. The 6-foot-6, 280-pounder had Joe Rudolph stop by his school in January and he'll return the favor. Wagner currently holds offers from Illinois, Iowa, Louisville, Miami (OH), Nebraska, Penn State and Purdue. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/19777637/6738fc6b6b211801ac736019On Thursday, Notre Dame will host another 2027 quarterback in Benton (La.) standout Malachi Zeigler. The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder had a strong showing at the Elite 11 over the weekend and Gino Guidugli did make a stop to see him at the end of January. Offers: Arkansas, Baylor, Grambling, Houston, Jackson State, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, SMU, TCU and Texas Tech This weekend the visitor list will be highlighted by 2026 running back Brian Bonner, 2026 receiver Mason James, 2026 receiver Brody Keefe, 2027 five-star defensive end David Jacobs Jr. and 2028 defensive lineman Dawson Jacobs on Friday. A day later, 2026 receiver commit Dylan Faison, 2026 receiver Kaydon Finley, 2026 Georgia safety commit Zechariah Fort and 2027 Stanley (N.D.) offensive lineman Ben Hynek will be on campus. Keefe, Fort, Faison and Finley have all seen Notre Dame, so it will be big visits for the uncommitted guys. Notre Dame has gained some serious traction with Bonner, so a good first impression will be crucial here. It's also a big deal for the Jacobs family to have a good visit given David Jacobs Jr. is one of the best edges in the country regardless of class. Some around Notre Dame feel they lead for FInley, while Texas folks feel the Longhorns lead. It's a battle, but you have to like the fact this will be the second visit this year for Finley as he also attended Junior Day.Under Armour #1 Kelly Green Notre Dame Fighting Irish Premier Football Jersey

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
