Notre Dame’s commits have been tearing up high school gridirons all fall and this past weekend was no different.

Irish quarterback CJ Carr‍ and their running back commits have received plenty of attention - and rightly so given their performances - but the pass-catchers have been extremely impressive all season as well.

ND PASS-CATCHERS SHINE: This past weekend, 2024 California receiver Logan Saldate‍ hauled in four passes for 152 yards and three scores to lead Palma to a 41-20 victory over Everett Alvarez.

2024 North Carolina tight end Jack Larsen‍ helped lead Charlotte Catholic to a 42-24 victory over Myers Park. Larsen pulled in six passes for 99 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Meanwhile across town, 2024 North Carolina receiver Micah Gilbert‍ only caught a pair of passes, but they were big ones, totaling 81 yards and both going for scores to lead Charlotte Christian past Cannon-Concord 42-13.

D-LINEMEN MAKE IMPACT: In that same Charlotte Christian/Cannon-Concord game, 2024 North Carolina defensive lineman Bryce Young‍ registered 8 tackles, including six solo stops to help lead the defense the way Gilbert contributed on offense.

Defensive end commit Loghan Thomas‍, who transferred to St. Edward in Ohio this offseason, notched 3.5 sacks en route to being named Player of the Game as his squad defeated GlenOak 35-0.

RUNNING BACKS STEP UP: Aneyas Williams‍ has spent much of the season split out, becoming Hannibal’s leading receiver, but the 2024 Missouri running back returned to the backfield full time this past weekend and showed why he’s valued so high by Deland McCullough and the Irish.

Williams rushed for 256 yards and four touchdowns in Hannibal’s 48-27 win over Holt.

It was a tougher night for 2024 Texas running back Kedren Young‍, who was mostly contained by Lancaster. Young and his Lufkin squad fell to Lancaster 28-27 with Lancaster focusing on containing Young. Still, Young managed to grind out tough yards, including a 2-yard touchdown, catch a couple passes and even throw a long touchdown on a halfback pass.

2025 Florida running back Justin Thurman‍ got loose, rushing for 201 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 18 carries as Jesuit defeated Tampa Catholic 66-35. Jesuit lost to Tampa Catholic a year ago and it was obvious that served as motivation.

CARR GOES DOWN: CJ Carr‍ and his Saline squad were overmatched against a stacked Belleville team and fell 65-14.

Carr finished 19-for-33 for 210 yards and threw three interceptions.

No doubt a disappointing finish, but a minor blemish on an amazing high school career for Carr.
