Saturday’s wakeup call to get up to South Bend from Aurora, Ind., early Saturday morning was worth it for Brady Ballart‍.

The 2026 Indiana linebacker made the trip up for Notre Dame’s final home game of the season against Wake Forest.

“It was great,” the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “Everyone up here is very kind and welcoming, so it was just a great day.”

The South Dearborn High School star and the other visitors registered at the indoor facility before taking in some food and games.

“We got to eat some turkey buffet for Thanksgiving with the holidays coming up and then play some cornhole with my buddy (2026 quarterback) Bo Polston‍,” he told ISD.

“We listened to one of the senior parents talk to us about her experience with her son at Notre Dame and how amazing it is.”

After checking out some hype videos and seeing the players walk into the stadium, Notre Dame Recruiting Associate Caleb Davis addressed the group.

“That was really motivational,” Ballart said. “He was just talking about how it's more than football at Notre Dame and how it's really just a family bond. When you come to Notre Dame, yeah, football is great, but you're set for life after.

“It was really good to hear from not only him, but also the parent who spoke. She was in my shoes seven years ago with her son, so it was just good to hear that.”

Ballart, who has camped at Notre Dame in the past, spoke with Davis plenty.

“He really likes my film, likes my size and would like to get me back up in the spring and have some more talks,” said Ballart.

He also had the opportunity to speak with Irish defensive coordinator Al Golden.

“Coach Golden was just glad to see me, glad to get me back up on campus,” he said. “I had another conversation with him, trying to get back up in the spring.”

Ballart, who has early offers from Ball State and Miami-Ohio, said he’ll definitely be back in South Bend.

“I'm for sure going to get back up in the spring,” he said. “I'm very excited for that one, it should be a fun time.”
