Notre Dame Offer Extra Special For 2026 OL George Haseotes
Every scholarship offer is special.
But the offer George Haseotes received from Notre Dame on Sunday, was a little extra special for the 2026 Florida offensive lineman.
“It means a lot,” Haseotes told Irish Sports Daily yesterday. “I have a lot of legacy at Notre Dame. My grandpa played there in the sixties. My mom went to Notre Dame, and I have a couple other family members who went there as well.
“I've been a fan since I was younger and I still am. So it means a lot, especially coming from them.”
The Community School of Naples standout added the Irish to an offer sheet that already included schools like Georgia, Miami, Michigan State, Kentucky, Louisville, Missouri, Georgia Tech, Stanford, Vanderbilt and Penn among others.
The 6-foot-3, 275-pounder visited South Bend for games as a kid, but his most recent trip was as a recruit.
“I went in November for the USC game,” Haseotes said. “I was at that game on a game day visit and it was unlike any other visit I've ever been on. It was really special.”
He had the chance to meet head coach Marcus Freeman during that trip, but most of his talks have been with offensive line coach Joe Rudolph and Director of Recruiting Dre Brown.
“Mainly Coach Dre Brown has been the person who's been communicating with the most,” he said. “He is just an awesome guy. He is really personable, keeps me updated with things.
“His phone's always on when I reach out and stuff like that. All the people surrounding Notre Dame really make me feel awesome.”
Haseotes already has plans to be back in South Bend for another visit April 8th.
“I think the next step is just building a better relationship with all the coaches,” he said. “I'm probably going to go camp for Coach Rudolph this summer just to see his style and see what he does.
“I'm just excited to see all different schools that are interested in me and seeing how the coaches coach and how they do it.”
Haseotes visited Miami last week and has plans set to get to Wisconsin and Texas A&M. He’s also expecting to lock in stops at Missouri and Auburn.
