It didn’t take long for Dylan Faison‍ to make a decision.

A day after the 2026 Florida receiver landed his first scholarship offer of the process - from Notre Dame during the Irish’s Pot of Gold blitz on Sunday - Faison committed to the Irish.

“They made me feel like home and I had a long talk with my family and my brother and made sure that this is what I wanted to do and their community; it’s supporting everything I can ask for,” Faison told Irish Sports Daily after announcing the decision on Monday.

“The most valuable thing that they offer is life after sports and that's one thing that I'm really interested in and that is what they have.”

Faison, of course, is referring to his older brother Jordan Faison, who starred as a freshman walk-on receiver for the Irish in the fall before stepping onto the lacrosse field this spring.

“It was definitely one of my dream schools from the start, before even Jordan committed to play lacrosse there, it was one of my top schools,” Faison said. “It's a big accomplishment, but the job's not finished. The work's not done, so I've got to keep working.”

Notre Dame has always stood out to Faison, who also plans on playing lacrosse for the Irish.

“The family, the bond that everybody talks about, that they show, the people, the fans,” he said. “Everything's great.”

He’s learned even more since his brother enrolled.

“They've both been powerhouse programs from the jump, but going to the school and seeing the fans and how much they care for each other in the program itself, it's just something you never see at any other school,” he said.

Faison was in communication with Marcus Freeman, Dre Brown and receivers coach Mike Brown leading up to Sunday’s offer.

“I was on the phone consistently with the receivers coach for two weeks now,” Faison said. “He thinks I can really fit and mesh well with the program and that I'm one of the top receivers that he's looking at right now and that stuff should go well with whatever's going on.”

Brown has made a tremendous early impression.

“He's a great, great, great person overall,” Faison said. “I could sit on the phone with him for an hour, 30 minutes, five minutes, whatever it is. He just makes me feel special and makes me feel that Notre Dame is my home.”
