Jarius Rodgers‍ was excited about the offer he landed from Notre Dame during the Irish’s Pot of Gold Day push last weekend and the 2026 Florida Vyper target was excited about his visit to South Bend this weekend.

“It went good,” the 6-foot-5, 190-pounder said. “The campus was really nice and I liked seeing how they competed out there.

“I got to see different drills and stuff that they did and how they did them.”

Rodgers also enjoyed seeing campus.

“I got to see the stadium, the weight room, the practice facility and the locker room,” he explained.

He spent time talking with Notre Dame defensive line coach Al Washington and defensive line assistant Nick Sebastian.

“It was good talking to them,” the Fleming Island High School standout said. “They are the type of coaches you could go to if you had any problems or anything because going through college football is kind of hard.”

Rodgers also had a chance to speak with head coach Marcus Freeman.

“He was just introducing me to how they do things at practice and stuff,” said Rodgers. “He seems like a pretty good person.”

Rodgers heads to Florida State next Thursday, but is hoping to return to South Bend in the future.

“I'm looking to come back soon, seeing more stuff like the game day atmosphere and stuff, maybe go to a game,” he said.

Washington and Sebastian mentioned they may be down to check out his spring practice in May.

The Irish made a serious impression on Rodgers, who also has offers from schools like Georgia Tech, Kentucky and Iowa State among others.

“I feel really strong about Notre Dame, but with it being early still, I have to see what other schools come in my path.”
