2025 Notre Dame WR Commit Elijah Burress Shows Out At Under Armour NJ
HACKENSACK, N.J. - Elijah Burress arrived here on Sunday for the Under Armour Next Football Camp at Hackensack ready to work.
The 2025 Notre Dame receiver commit came with the plan to showcase his talent.
“I feel like I'm ranked a bit low,” the New Jersey native told Irish Sports Daily.
He wanted to “show people I'm better than what I'm ranked right now and I just want to get better.”
Burress did just that.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder has been working diligently this offseason and it showed during Sunday’s camp.
“Oh, for sure my speed,” Burress said when asked where he’s made the biggest strides. “I'm definitely faster than the tape shows. My speed's definitely good.
“I think my route-running is definitely the best aspect of my game. I've also got reliable hands too.”
Burress, who committed to the Irish back in February, was back in South Bend in March and is trying to get up a couple more times soon.
“It's been great,” he said of being committed to Notre Dame. “I should be going up there soon in June for sure. I'm trying to go up there before my OV. I'm trying to set some dates right now.”
The DePaul Catholic standout has enjoyed each of his visits to Notre Dame.
“It's been great,” he said. “There's nothing like home and I just can't wait to get back.
“It's great just reconnecting with a lot of guys.”
He’s also enjoyed watching the 2025 recruiting class grow.
“Dallas (Golden) just committed. We're excited to see him and that's my guy.”
