2025 WR JonAnthony Hall Talks Notre Dame Offer & More
JonAnthony Hall’s offer from Notre Dame may have been sudden, but it didn’t come out of nowhere for the 2025 Indiana receiver.
Hall spoke with Irish receivers coach Mike Brown on Friday morning and they made plans to speak later in the evening, when Hall’s parents could join the call.
“That's when he extended the offer to me,” the Fishers High School standout said.
“We'd definitely been talking a little bit here and there. Coach Brown came and visited my school about two and a half weeks ago. So, he's definitely been in contact for a decent while now.”
The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder was fired up to add Notre Dame to a list that already included schools like Michigan, Stanford, Northwestern, Duke, Boston College, Vanderbilt, Purdue and Indiana among many others.
“I was pretty excited because growing up, they have just been a good team since I've known of their existence,” he said. “And they're right up the street, so it's close to home and a good academic school, so that's pretty exciting in itself.”
Hall’s initial impressions of Brown are overwhelmingly positive.
“It seems like he knows a lot about the game,” Hall said. “He's been to the NFL, has a mind of quarterback and receiver since he's played both. It's interesting to get those two perspectives. Definitely a great guy, definitely down to earth, a pretty cool guy for sure.”
Hall isn’t going to wait long to further research Notre Dame.
“I scheduled a midweek official visit, June 11th through 13th,” said Hall, who has a high school basketball tournament on campus later in the week. “It fits pretty well with my schedule.
“It'll be good to feel the vibes of Coach Brown and Coach Freeman and see how things fit together; being able to be shown everything, the facilities and how I'll be coached. I may even get a one-on-one workout with Coach Brown just to kind see how he coaches and to feel my way out. That's definitely something that I'm looking forward to.”
Hall has a few other official visits set in June as well.
“I have Stanford coming up from the 6th through 9th,” he said. “Then, I have Purdue from the 14th through 16th, and then IU from the 21st to the 23rd.”
He expects to have a decision sometime in July or August.
“A lot of it just comes down to fit, scheme,” he said. “As a wide receiver, it's important to have a school that is pretty good at throwing the ball or have things set up that way. I know with the addition of the LSU offensive coordinator, they'll definitely be slinging it around this year.
“That's definitely exciting.”
