2027 OH ATH Jamier Brown Excited For First Notre Dame Gameday

Jamier Brown‍ has been on Notre Dame’s recruiting board from the start. 

In fact, the 2027 Ohio athlete was the first prospect in his class to report an offer from the Irish when he did so back in February of this year. 

He’s already made multiple trips to South Bend.

“I went twice, once for a camp and once for practice,” the Wayne High School standout says.

And Brown will be back on campus again for the Irish’s game against Miami-Ohio this weekend.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder already has offers from schools like Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee and Cincinnati among many others.

Wayne High School is the same school that produced Irish head coach Marcus Freeman and defensive backs coach Mike Mickens, so it’s no surprise that Brown has kept in contact with both.

“They really just want me to have fun, keep going through the process that I'm going through. They just tell me, just keep doing what I'm doing, just keep having fun with what I'm doing,” Brown said of the message from Freeman and Brown.

His interest in Notre Dame is certainly serious based on those connections and his previous trips.

“When I went there, the athletic trainer just told us how they take care of their players,” he said. “From what he was telling us, they're really serious about their players. They put their players first before anything. The one thing I like is they don't just talk about football with their players. They think more like just lifewise. So it's not like it's all about football.”

Brown, who seems likely to play receiver in college, is excited about getting back for a game.

“Just to really see how the team plays in person and just to see the atmosphere, the school,” he said. 

Brown had a “great” trip to Maryland earlier this month and has a visit set to Penn State next week.
