Notre Dame has its 2025 quarterback as Brunswick School (Conn.) signal-caller Blake Hebert‍ has flipped his commitment from Clemson to the Fighting Irish.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder originally gave his pledge to Clemson in June of 2023, but the Irish came on strong following the decommitment of Deuce Knight.

Hebert, a teammate of 2025 Notre Dame commits Matty Augustine‍ and Ethan Long‍, visited South Bend last June and left campus with an offer, but committed to Clemson 10 days later.

That said, Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman clearly left a strong impression on the three-star quarterback, who missed almost all of his junior season with a broken ankle.

“I like him a lot,” said Hebert. “You can tell he is a really good coach and gets along really well with all of his players.”

During the visit last summer, Hebert also connected with Notre Dame quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli in the film room.

“Coach Gino's awesome,” Hebert said. “We talked X's & O's for probably about an hour at the end before I left. He was really good. I like him a lot as a coach and as a person.

“They kind of just showed me how they're going to be doing things this upcoming season and a couple of their concepts and how they attack each coverage.”

As a senior, Hebert has completed 50-of-92 passes for 900 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions while rushing for 234 yards and seven touchdowns in five games.

Stay tuned for more on Hebert’s commitment to Notre Dame.
