Mike McCarthy of M2 QB Academy started working with new Notre Dame quarterback commit Blake Hebert‍ when Hebert was in eighth grade and McCarthy has been working with him ever since.

The first thing that jumped out to McCarthy about Hebert was the youngster’s eagerness to learn despite his already-obvious abilities.

“Some kids come in and they think they know more than they do or they're a little bit overconfident, but he was never that,” McCarthy said.
