2026 OL Sullivan Garvin Excited For Notre Dame Return
Less than a month after receiving a scholarship offer from Notre Dame during his most recent trip to South Bend, Sullivan Garvin has plans to return.
“We're planning the Virginia game on the 16th,” the 2026 Michigan offensive lineman said.
Since receiving the Irish offer, the Allegan High School standout has maintained contact with the coaching staff.
“It's been very good,” the 6-foot-5, 295-pounder said. “I've been texting almost every day with (Marcus) Freeman and (Joe) Rudolph. Every now and then, (Mike) Denbrock will text me. It's been very good.”
Prior to the offer, the communication had been more about building a relationship, but it has shifted since.
“Pretty recently it's been, 'We want you to commit. We want you pretty bad,’” Garvin said. “It's really nice to hear.”
The offer blew Garvin away and the communication since has as well.
“It definitely feels amazing,” he said. “Notre Dame was never a school I watched growing up. Then you go there and you experience it and it's a special place. To get an offer from there and now that I have an offer, it's very special and it's been great.”
Garvin visited Kansas last week and added an offer from the Jayhawks. He goes to Michigan this week and Cincinnati next before getting back to Notre Dame.
The return to South Bend will be more about just getting back than any real fact-finding.
“There's nothing that comes to mind,” he said when asked what else he wants to see. “I just want to see them win and do what they do.
After the next Notre Dame visit, look for Garvin to make stops at Minnesota, Indiana and Purdue.
The Irish are in a strong position with Garvin, but we don’t believe he’s quite to the point of making any final decisions just yet.
