2026 OL Sullivan Garvin Ready To See Notre Dame...Again
If Sullivan Garvin didn’t know how badly he was wanted by Notre Dame when the Irish offered him a scholarship earlier this fall, after several weeks of additional communication, the 2026 Michigan offensive lineman does now.
“It's been great,” Garvin says of his communication with Notre Dame. “I've been in pretty constant contact with lots of the staff from (Mike) Denbrock, (Marcus) Freeman, (Joe) Rudolph. Every now and then, me and Chad Bowden will text. It's been great.
“A few weeks ago, Freeman did send me a text just talking about how I'm wanted there pretty bad. It's very good to hear.”
The 6-foot-5, 295-pounder gets the sense the Irish are hoping he pulls the trigger soon.
“It definitely feels that way,” he says. “It's not a lot of pressure. They're not trying to pressure me into anything. They're just letting me know that I'm wanted.
“From the jump, when Coach Rudolph offered me, he always told me, take as much time as you need. That was always really nice. It's been very nice to hear.”
Garvin also has offers from schools like Washington, Kansas, Purdue and Indiana. He’s enjoyed trips to Michigan and Kansas this fall and is looking forward to a trip to Indiana at the end of the season.
But this weekend, it’s a return to South Bend, his first trip back since landing the offer in September.
“Honestly, I'm just looking to continue to build my relationship and see more of the guys,” the Allegan High School standout said. “I'm really big on my relationships and the people there, so I'm just hoping to see more of that.”
Since receiving the offer, Garvin hasn’t tried to hide the fact that Notre Dame is way up on his list.
“It definitely just fits,” he says. “It feels right when I'm there. Everyone on the staff is great. The place itself is great. The town is awesome. I love the University. It's just that place; the university, the staff everything, really.”
He’s not quite ready to make a final decision, but he isn’t that far off either.
“It'll probably be December or January sometime,” he says.
“I feel like it'll just allow me to focus on one school. I won't have to worry about other schools. I can just focus on training and finishing up my senior season of football.”
