Notre Dame On Top For 2026 OL Sullivan Garvin

Saturday’s visit to South Bend may be Sullivan Garvin’s final trip to Notre Dame before the 2026 Michigan offensive lineman picks a school.

If that is the case - and as of now, that looks likely - things couldn’t have gone much better.

“It was great,” the Allegan High School standout told Irish Sports Daily. “It was another really good visit. It was really cool. I got to be at the 50-yard line to watch warm ups and everything. It was sweet seeing Coach (Joe) Rudolph again, seeing all the staff, Chad Bowden and everything. It was great.”

Garvin camped at Notre Dame in the summer and took in a game back in September, when he picked up his offer from the Irish.

The message from Rudolph and the Notre Dame staff on Saturday was a relatively simple one.

“He just said once again, 'We really want you here,’” Garvin said of Rudolph.

“I got to talk to Coach (Marcus) Freeman for a pretty good amount of time, and that was his message as well. The whole staff and from everyone, their opinions were that they believe I'm the best offensive lineman in the country. That was really surprising to hear. It was awesome. It was great. I'm really appreciative.”

Garvin, who also has offers from schools like Indiana, Purdue, Washington and Kansas among several others, said it’s “surreal” to hear how the Irish feel about him.

“Notre Dame's considered O-Line University, so just to hear that is very flattering and very humbling,” he said. “I'm just very thankful.

“It's definitely special. It was great being back and seeing everyone again as well. It was great.”

Garvin has two more trips scheduled this fall.

“We're going to Minnesota next week and then Indiana and that will finish it up,” he said.

After that, he plans to go into decision mode.

“I'm just going to finish up my last few visits and then I'll officially make a decision,” he said.

And the Irish couldn’t be any higher on his list at the moment.

“Definitely number one. Definitely number one on my list. Without a doubt.”
