BREAKING | 2025 LB Madden Faraimo Commits To Notre Dame
Finally.
Who said this Signing Day would be drama-free for Notre Dame?
After months of seemingly leading for Madden Faraimo, the Irish have finally secured a verbal commitment from the 2025 California linebacker.
The J Serra Catholic star chose the Irish over offers from USC, Texas, Washington and several other programs.
In the final days, Faraimo appeared headed to USC, but his recruitment had one final swing and it was back to the Irish.
He represents the last major piece of Notre Dame’s recruiting puzzle and has been atop the Irish’s overall recruiting board since the summer.
After an official visit to South Bend back in June, the Irish seemed so likely to land the 6-foot-3, 230-pounder that Ohio State actually removed him from their board. With a spot all of a sudden open on his official visit calendar, Faraimo took a trip down to Texas.
His eyes were opened and he pushed back an announcement that had been planned for the start of July. Faraimo’s recruitment was further complicated when the hometown school, USC, turned up the heat on him after months of inactivity.
A mature young man, Faraimo gave himself some time to get away from any emotions he had toward the Trojans and they became serious players as well.
But through it all, Notre Dame never wavered.
The Irish were thrilled to welcome Faraimo back for a pair of unofficial visits during the fall and consistently reminded him he was a major priority for them.
After each trip, Notre Dame felt it was close to landing him. But Faraimo remained patient.
His final visit of the process came at USC to see the Trojans’ season finale against the Irish. Notre Dame prevailed 49-35, securing its place in the College Football Playoff while dropping USC to 6-6 on the season.
Faraimo makes Notre Dame 25 members of the class and joins a trio of other linebackers in the group, including Anthony Sacca, Dom Hulak and Ko'o Kia.
