2026 OL Grayson McKeogh Talks Notre Dame Offer

Grayson McKeogh‍ knew he was on Notre Dame’s radar, but the 2026 Pennsylvania offensive lineman didn’t realize he was close to receiving an offer until he received one last week.

“I've met them in person a couple times when they came to my school,” the La Salle College High School standout said. “They're big recruiters of one of my teammates, so I've gotten to meet them a couple of times  in the past.

“It was a surprise for me for sure. They've always expressed interest, but it never felt like it's been to the next level. So it definitely was a good surprise.”

The 6-foot-8, 285-pounder chatted with Notre Dame Director of Recruiting Carter Auman for a bit last Thursday before connecting with Irish offensive line coach Joe Rudolph and learning of the offer.

“It's really cool just because it's a lot of what I'm looking for; a good academic and powerhouse football team,” said McKeogh, whose offer sheet also includes schools like Penn State, Duke, Boston College, Syracuse, Pitt, Rutgers, Wake Forest, Ole Miss, Michigan State, Indiana and Wisconsin among others.

“I've got a lot of friends and family members who are Notre Dame fans just with the Irish heritage, so it's really cool.”

McKeogh is hoping to get to South Bend to see it for himself.

“I would say the next step is probably just finding a date that I can get up there and get to know the rest of the coaches and tour the place,” he said.

He already has official visits in June set to Duke and Penn State. Notre Dame could be added to that list, but he’ll likely need to do an unofficial visit first.

“I'd probably have to get up in the spring and just see how I like the place, see if I fit in there and how I relate to some of the players there and stuff like that,” he said.

As he alluded to, McKeogh’s La Salle teammate, defensive back Joey O’Brien, is one of the Irish’s top targets and has had good things to say about Notre Dame.

“He says it's a really cool place and the coaches are really outgoing and everyone's bought into their program and the recruiting process,” McKeogh explained.

“He says it's a really cool place.”

Notre Dame would seem to be in a position to check a lot of boxes for McKeogh.

“Huge factors for me are the football side of it, the competition, the academic side of it,” he said. “Do they have a good law school? Do they have a good business school? Can I get a good degree? Stuff like that.

“Close to home stuff; is it a plane ride or is it a drive? And then just campus life, other things to do outside of football, outside of school.”
