Monshun Sales‍ made his way to South Bend last week for Notre Dame’s spring game and the elite 2027 Indiana receiver was impressed.

“It went great,” the 6-foot-5, 205-pounder told Irish Sports Daily. “It went super great actually.”

The Indianapolis native appreciated the chance to talk with Notre Dame receivers coach Mike Brown in person.

“It was really my first time meeting Coach Brown, Coach Mike,” said Sales. “It really just started what we're going to build. I got to start a relationship with him and we're going to keep building.

“He's a great guy. When I met him, he was with his family, so it really just showed he's a great guy outside of football too.”

The Lawrence North star’s day got off to an interesting start.

“When I got there, I got lost, but it was in a good way because I got to walk around almost all of the campus and really got to see the environment of being there,” said Sales. “It wasn't a game day, but it was packed like a game day. It really showed me how the fans are and how much they love the sport.”

Sales enjoyed watching the Blue-Gold Game.

“It was great,” he said. “Everybody was making plays. The younger players got to get in and make plays too.”

Sales currently has offers from schools like Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt among several others.

The coaches let Sales know they believe he could be a playmaker in South Bend.

“They told me, they'd just give me the ball,” he said. “I'm a game-changer, so when the ball is in my hands you can really just relax because I'm going to do something with it.”

He expects to be back in South Bend soon.

“Just keep visiting and building a stronger relationship right now,” he said of what’s next for him and the Irish. “I'm going to be back up there soon. I don't know when yet.

“It's a great school. It's one of my top schools because Notre Dame is more than just football. You go there and you get a diploma from there and you're really set for life. And it's a brotherhood that I think anybody would love to be a part of. It's just great; great environment, great people. You go there and you're set.”
