2027 WR Quentin Burrell Set For Notre Dame Return

After visiting Notre Dame back in April, Quentin Burrell‍ said he planned to return sometime in early-June.

Here we are in early-June and the 2027 Illinois receiver will indeed be back in South Bend.

“I'm headed up there on Friday,” said Burrell, who will be in town for Irish Invasion.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder added an offer from Notre Dame on St. Patrick’s Day and the Irish have had his attention since.

“The culture,” Burrell said of what interests him about Notre Dame. “I would say the culture is really good and just wanting to see how the coaches coach and see what I would possibly be getting into for the next three or four years.”

He described the contact between himself in the Irish this spring as “really good.”

“They came around the school, showed face,” the Mount Carmel High School standout said. “Mike Brown came up, which is really great to see that he has an interest in me and that he's willing to put work in for this relationship that we are building.”

Burrell has dozens of offers from schools like Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Indiana, Wisconsin, Auburn, Ole Miss, Arizona State and Washington among several others. He hasn’t taken any visits in the last month or so, but will be on the road again this month. 

“I'm trying to get Penn State aligned, Arizona State and then I'm going to be at Ohio State for a camp in a couple weeks,” he said.

Burrell expects to start formulating a list of top schools in his mind toward the end of the summer even if he doesn’t release favorites publicly.

“Not anything to post, but just with my family internally and just talking through what I like, what I don't like, and where I could see myself possibly,” he said. 

As of now, the Irish are well-positioned to make that cut. 

“I think with how everybody has been around and interacting with me, I feel like Notre Dame has a pretty big shot.”
