Rashad Streets‍ has kept in touch with Notre Dame since being offered by the Irish back on Pot of Gold Day.

The 2027 North Carolina edge defender said most of his communication has been with Irish assistant defensive line coach Nick Sebastian and High School Relations analyst Deland McCullough II.

“They think I'm a really good player and they want me to go there, obviously,” the 6-foot-4, 230-pounder told Irish Sports Daily. “They've talked to me about having my versatility is what really stood out. They  said I could rush from all over the d-line, which is what really made me stand out.

“They've just been talking to me about getting out there and coming and seeing the place. You know how it is when you're so far away, but everybody talks good about a place, but you never know unless you go over there.”

The Millbrook High School star is interested in making the trip to see for himself.

“I just want to see how the position coach coaches them, try to see if the scheme is something I like or something I know.” he said. “I want to see how the coaches interact with players because I feel like the relationship between your position coach is really important to me.

“I've talked to some commits there and they've told me just the brotherhood is what really stood out. They told me how everybody's so close together. When you're getting recruited, everybody kind of says that, but I feel like that's what the recruits are pushing the most - the brotherhood - was really stood out. If the recruits are saying that really stood out, everybody's together, then I don't think they have a reason to lie to me about that. It makes me believe them.”

After reporting his offer on social media, one current Notre Dame commit reached out to him immediately.

“He started talking to me about just how deep the whole team is and talking to me about how they're all brothers and they're in a group chat together and it's not fake,” said Streets. “It's just like they're real. Everybody really cares about each other.”

Streets’ offer sheet also includes schools like North Carolina, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Tennessee, Penn State, Texas A&M, Oregon and USC among many others.

He’s looking at a couple other fall visits as well.

“I haven't had anything fully set in stone,” he said. “I'm thinking about going up to Tennessee, thinking about going to Clemson for a game, but I'm still building on my schedule trying to see what works with my football schedule to see what games I can make it to.”

He doesn’t know when he’ll trim his list, but expects to have a final decision by next summer.

“I've been thinking about narrowing my list,” he said. “I haven't had the time to sit down with my family yet, but I do know that I want to have a decision before going into my senior year so I can lock in with the school and build a great relationship with them.

“I feel like relationships and development are really important to me....During this whole process, you could always get distracted by the NIL, the money and stuff, but I want to talk to a coach that's actually genuine about the game. I feel like development and relationships are the two most important things.”
