The first practice of a new college football season always brings one certainty: overreactions.

Multiple truths can exist at once, and that’s especially important to remember when evaluating Notre Dame’s quarterback play from Thursday’s opening practice. Much of the post-practice buzz surrounded freshman CJ Carr throwing three interceptions—two of which landed in the hands of fellow freshman Tae Johnson.
