Teddy Jarrard‍ got plenty familiar with Notre Dame over the spring and the summer, which is what led the elite 2027 Georgia quarterback to commit to the Irish back in July.

Jarrard got even more familiar with Notre Dame when he returned to South Bend for a visit back in September, but his trip back to campus earlier this month gave him even more insight into the program.

“It went great,” Jarrard told Irish Sports Daily of his visit back for the Navy game. “I enjoyed it. I was there for three days. I got to spend a lot of time with the team; coaches and players. I enjoyed it.

“On Friday, I got to go through pretty much the whole day with the team; meetings, walkthroughs, ate dinner. Then Saturday, I got to experience the same thing, walkthrough and everything and then watch the game obviously. Sunday, I was able to recap with some of the coaching staff. It was just great. It was a good quality time to spend up there before I get up there soon.”

The North Cobb High School standout appreciated the chance to see how the Irish go about preparing for games.

“Everybody has their own little different things they like to do, but I think it was good for me to see exactly what they do, their schedule and routine so I know what I'm getting into when I go up there soon,” he said.

He was also grateful for the opportunity to get a peek into the quarterback room.

“Obviously CJ (Carr) and Kenny (Minchey) were there,” said Jarrard. “I think it's a culture and a group of guys that I feel like I'd fit in well with. I think they've got a great sense of humor in the way they do things. Everything kind of fits and it was good to see and meet some of the guys that I'll be with. That was great.”

Jarrard has enjoyed watching Carr’s stellar performance this season.

“They've been doing great,” Jarrard said. “The way (offensive coordinator Mike) Denbrock has been calling the run game and the pass game has been very even and the way they're doing things, they've been very efficient. I love how they're doing it and it's very similar to the offense I'm running currently at my high school. It's an offense I feel like I'd fit in very well.”

He was also able to talk with some of his future - and hopefully future - teammates.

“Some of the 2027 commits were there, like Ellis (McGaskin), one of the linebackers, a couple 26s were there,” Jarrard said. “I got to talk to some of the receivers down there as well. It wasn't as big of a group as it was at Texas A&M when I was there before. But still some good players that I was able to get in touch with.”

Jarrard isn’t sure when he’ll be back at Notre Dame again, but said hopefully soon and eventually for an official visit.

I want to say I'll probably be back up there hopefully for a visit or an OV or something of that sort soon.

Jarrard and his North Cobb teammates opened the playoffs this past weekend. Jarrard threw for 260 yards and three touchdowns in North Cobb’s 65-20 win over Paulding County.
