2026 Notre Dame WR Signee Brayden Robinson Ready To Get To Work
Brayden Robinson said the relief of signing with Notre Dame has already set in and he’s eager to begin the next chapter.
“It feels good,” the 2026 receiver signee from Texas told Irish Sports Daily. “I feel a big relief. Just ready to get up there and get to work.”
The welcoming environment and relationships he built with coaches and teammates were a major factor in the 5-foot-8, 165-pounder’s decision to sign with the Irish.
“Just the people made me feel most comfortable,” he said. “I’m around a lot of good guys and good coaching staff, great staff members.
He described his connection with Irish receivers coach Mike Brown as easygoing and genuine.
“He’s been pretty good,” the Red Oak High School standout said. “I feel like me and Coach Brown are pretty similar, kind of low key, but every time we’re around each other or on the phone, it was a great conversation. He’s a good guy to be around.”
Robinson also praised Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman, saying the energy he brings was instantly motivating.
“He’s a great leader,” Robinson said. “Fun to be around and motivates me even just sitting there talking to him on the phone.
“Being able to play for him and have an opportunity to put on for the University is pretty big.”
Robinson will arrive in South Bend as an early enrollee in a couple weeks.
“I just want to get down there and get to work so I can learn everything, just get adjusted,” he said.
His initial priorities will be balancing his academic responsibilities and absorbing the playbook as quickly as possible.
If leaving home early is bittersweet, it’s far more sweet than bitter for Robinson.
“Man, I’m ready to go,” he laughed. “I can’t lie. I’m just looking forward to a new opportunity in the next chapter of my life.”
Robinson said the 2026 class is tight-knit, fueled by a group chat that’s active daily and a shared sense of purpose.
“Everybody’s pretty tight,” he said. “Always great conversations, great guys to be around.
Robinson and his class have lofty goals.
“Just come in and handle our business so we can get back to the national stage and compete nationwide.”
