As Notre Dame gets its transfer portal push going, the Irish are expected to host a highly-productive portal quarterback target this week.

Former Mercer quarterback Braden Atkinson will visit South Bend as soon as tomorrow, according to a source familiar with the situation. 

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Atkinson was one of the most prolific signal-callers at the FCS level during his freshman season at Mercer in 2025.
