von Brandt made a very early commitment to Penn State and re-opened his recruitment following James Franklin’s firing.

On Jan. 31, the 2027 offensive lineman released a Top 8 that includes Notre Dame, Florida, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Ohio State, Tennessee, LSU and Auburn, a group that reflects what he is prioritizing moving forward.
