Notre Dame has made a hire to enhance its defensive staff.
Multiple sources tell ISD that Chase Jones will join Marcus Freeman’s staff after spending two years as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Wake Forest.
John Brice was the first to report.
The former two-time Demon Deacon captain appeared in 41 games and registered 208 tackles and 13 tackles for loss. Jones was also named an academic All-ACC member multiple times.
In fact, Jones holds a degree in Finance and a master’s in Financial Technology and Analytics from Wake Forest.
Jones is expected to replace Jevaughn Codlin, who left the program to become the safeties coach at North Texas.
