One drive where the Notre Dame defense gave up a 53-yard pass followed by a 15-yard run. That was pretty much it for a defense that is only allowing 3.8 yards per play through three games.
Even the other drive that resulted in points for Michigan State was based on them having a short field where they settled for a field goal. And it still took the Spartans 12 plays to travel 36 yards.
The second half was again dominant with the Irish only allowing 1.
