2027 Notre Dame RB Target Isaiah Rogers Narrows List, Sets Visits
Isaiah Rogers has begun to seriously narrow his focus and thanks to a recent uptick in communication, Notre Dame is firmly within his field of vision.
The 2027 Massachusetts running back recently released a Top 8 of Notre Dame, Georgia, Indiana, Penn State, UCLA, Nebraska, Virginia Tech and North Carolina as he prepares for a busy stretch of visits this spring and summer.
The list reflects the programs Rogers has built the strongest relationships with.
“Those are the schools I think I have the best relationships with the running back coach and the overall staff,” Rogers said.
The 5-foot-10, 190-pounder has already scheduled official visits to Georgia, Indiana and Penn State during the first three weeks of June. Rogers said Notre Dame will also receive an official visit, though the exact date is still being finalized.
But he also plans to return to South Bend sooner than that.
The Springfield native confirmed he will attend Notre Dame’s Junior Day on March 21, marking his second trip to campus after attending the Irish Invasion camp in June 2024.
A major reason Notre Dame remains firmly in the mix is running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider, who began building a relationship with Rogers while Seider was still at Penn State.
“Coach Seider has been a guy who recruited me early from Penn State and then went to Notre Dame,” Rogers said. “Having that relationship with him and seeing what he’s doing with the backs that he’s coached says a lot.”
The Springfield Central High School standout described Seider as a coach who blends intensity with teaching.
“I would say he’s a teacher,” Rogers said. “He’s serious when he needs to be, but overall he’s a personable person.”
When Rogers returns for Junior Day, he plans to look at more than just the football program.
“Just the overall culture, how the staff interacts with the players,” Rogers said. “Just getting a feel for what it’s like on campus and also with Coach Seider.”
Communication between Rogers and the Notre Dame staff has increased recently.
“I would say it has picked up in the past couple weeks,” Rogers said. “They’re showing a lot of love now.”
Beyond his upcoming visits, he has already started to map out the next phase of his recruitment.
Rogers expects to take all of his official visits before making a decision sometime in early July.
“I’ll take my officials and then after my officials probably July, early July.”
