College football is all about what have you do for me lately. Life in general is that way, so why would college football be any different?
Notre Dame fans know this too well. They’ve been teased by success only to face reality later on. Tyrone Willingham started 8-0 during his time in South Bend and beat Florida State on the road for that eighth win. He went 13-15 the rest of the way before being fired after his third season.
