WHAT TO WATCH
Notre Dame enters the ACC Championship with its NCAA Tournament hopes still alive. The Irish will likely need to at least win two games to face No. 2 seed North Carolina, which will boost Notre Dame’s RPI. A win over the Tar Heels would likely put the Irish in the tournament, as North Carolina enters this week as the No. 2 team in the nation. 

That said, Notre Dame has business to take care of over the next two days to earn that opportunity. The Irish swept Clemson earlier this season in South Bend and the winner will face No. 7 seed Virginia Tech on Wednesday. 

The key for Notre Dame this week will be staying hot at the plate. Notre Dame arrives in Charlotte with the No. 3 batting average in the ACC and will have to score to win, as the pitching and defense have been inconsistent through 51 games.

Clemson does boast one of the best pitching staffs in the conference despite being the No. 15 seed, so it will be strength on strength for both teams on Tuesday.
