2028 Bonner Prendie (Pa.) offensive lineman Ty Winn‍‍ has emerged as one of the most intriguing prospects on the camp circuit this month.

The 6-foot-8, 275-pound tackle was already a highly coveted recruit entering June, but his stock has continued to soar after recent offers from Texas and Texas A&M.

Notre Dame was able to get Winn in for a workout on Friday at Irish Invasion and offensive line coach Joe Rudolph left a lasting impression.

“It was amazing,” stated Winn. “I got some good work. It was hot in there, got a good sweat in. They gave us pointers as well, so to see how he coaches his players and how he coached us, it was just great to see.”

Rudolph is known for emphasizing different aspects of line play during camps, but Friday’s message centered on effort and competitiveness as campers battled through the heat and humidity inside the Irish Athletic Center.

“Just work hard,” Winn said. “Give a lot of effort and that’s what we did. He said he loved the group we had. We got some good work and it was great competition.”

Competition is something Winn has become accustomed to this month. The Pennsylvania standout is in the middle of an ambitious camp schedule that includes stops at South Carolina, Texas A&M, Texas, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Ohio State, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Penn State, Syracuse and Florida.

Even among that group, Notre Dame’s offensive line contingent caught his attention.

“It was amazing,” explained Winn. “I saw some guys, they come up there and just going so hard, so they set a high bar, a high standard.”

While the media wasn’t able to see one-on-one work after being escorted out of the facility, Winn admitted that his competitive periods included both successes and lessons learned.

“It could have went way better,” stated Winn. “You learn a lot. You win some, you lose some, but learn overall.”

Earlier in the day, Winn also attended Notre Dame’s Grill and Chill event, giving him additional time to interact with coaches, players and staff while getting a closer look at the program.

“It was great,” Winn explained. “We really interacted with the players, the coaches, just to see the facility, everything. It was a great experience.”

The opportunity left Winn knowing he could fit in well at Notre Dame if an offer came along, which he’s hoping for in the coming days.

“Rudolph makes his calls after the end of camp, so hopefully we get some good feedback,” stated Winn. “I definitely would love to get back here.”

And if the Fighting Irish extend an offer?

“Definitely,” Winn said when asked if Notre Dame would be a serious contender. “It’s a big O-Line university. I can definitely see myself getting better here.”
