Notre Dame going 14-2 in 2024 was a surprise to many and not just because they experienced an unthinkable loss early in the season.
That team was supposed to be a year away. They brought in an experienced quarterback, but it was a young offensive line blocking for a young backfield. Three of their top-five linebackers had combined for less than 100 career snaps on defense.
