Five Players To Watch
Notre Dame CB Leonard Moore
Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell said the offense can't ignore Moore's side of the field while acknowledging Moore's talent. Teams who frequently test Moore have paid the price for doing so and we'll see how the Badgers fare when targeting the best corner in the country.
Wisconsin QB Colton Joseph
The Badgers had atrocious quarterback play last season, but have renewed optimism on offense with the addition of the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year. Joseph rushed for over 1,000 yards and had 34 combined rushing and passing touchdowns for Old Dominion in 2025. The Irish will have to contain him as a runner, but could take advantage of Joseph as a passer. He's been inconsistent with his accuracy and turnovers were a problem last season when he threw 10 interceptions and fumbled 12 times.
Notre Dame WR Jordan Faison
One of Notre Dame's four captains this season, Faison is now focused solely on football. Offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock declared him a true WR1. He led the Irish in receiving last season and everyone should expect him to be a featured target of CJ Carr in this matchup against a first-time starter at field corner.
Wisconsin LB Mason Posa
Posa only started five games last season, but still managed to lead Wisconsin in tackles and was named 3rd team All-Big Ten. He had four sacks and nine havoc plays in only 363 snaps as a true freshman and has game-wrecker potential.
Notre Dame DT Armel Mukam
Mukam went from out of the rotation to the transfer portal, all the way to starting alongside Jason Onye in week one of the 2026 season. It's been an inspiring rise for Mukam after the coaching staff convinced him to stay at Notre Dame and Irish fans will now see why he earned this opportunity.
