2019 Episcopal (Va.) safety Litchfield Ajavon just got home from school and will quickly head out on the road to visit some of the top programs in the country over the next few weeks.

“My coach and I will make a two-day trip,” Ajavon told Irish Sports Daily. “We are going to visit Notre Dame for a full day on Monday and then head to Michigan and Michigan State the next day.”

The four-star prospect has kept in contact with area recruiter Clark Lea, and Ajavon admitted Lea was fired up when he told him he was coming to South Bend.

“I spoke with Coach Lea to let him know I was coming up and it was pure excitement,” laughed the 6-foot, 185-pounder. “He was pretty joyful. He told me it’s going to be a fun day and I am looking forward to it.”

Ajavon has seen many of the Southern programs, but he is more than excited to see what Notre Dame and the Michigan schools have to offer.

“It will be my first-time visiting those schools, so I am just trying to get a feel for them,” he explained. “I want to see how things are up there. I don’t need to see anything special right now.”

The Baltimore native will also be making a few trips across the country over the next month. One of them will be to Stanford, who has yet to offer the elite prospect.

“I am taking a trip to Virginia on Sunday, then I am flying out to see Notre Dame, Michigan, and Michigan State,” said Ajavon. “I will then be flying out to Stanford on June 21st. I will fly from Stanford to Wisconsin for a visit.

“I got invited to the Deion Sanders Primetime21 Camp in Texas, so I will be going down there in July. I think that’s the end of the traveling for the summer after that trip.”

Notre Dame has Ajavon’s interest more than most think, but that also means Stanford is a program that has his interest.

“I have been talking with the coaches at Stanford a lot,” stated Ajavon. “My coach wanted me to go out there and see how it is. I have a little bit of free time out there, so I think I am going to do the one-day camp there too.”

As far as a timeline goes, Ajavon doesn’t have any plans to cut his list or commit anytime soon. However, the visits he will take over the next month will likely give him a great idea of what he is looking for in a school, and he very well could have a leader after the visits complete.

“I don’t know if it will be by the end of the summer,” said Ajavon. “Any decision on a top group or commitment I make will be after the season at this point. I am just trying to take my time and navigate through all this the right way."
