Isaiah Rogers‍ has been committed to Notre Dame for seven months, but the Irish continue to show him love.

Head coach Marcus Freeman and running backs coach Ja'Juan Seider were at Rogers' game last week, and even though the visit was brief, it made an impact.

"I didn't get to talk to them or hang out with them after because they had to go, but them just coming in support, it felt great," Rogers told Irish Sports Daily. "It just shows how much they care and how much of a family they are."

The 2027 Springfield Central running back committed to Notre Dame in March, choosing the Irish over Georgia, Penn State and Indiana. Notre Dame has known him since he was a freshman, when his track speed, including a school-record 10.5 in the 100 meters, first put him on the Irish radar.

The timing of last week's visit helped. Springfield Central starts the playoffs next week, and Rogers carried a bit of a boost knowing his future coaches would be in the house all week.

"I had a great week of practice going in, and then the game came, I felt a lot more explosive, especially right before playoffs, so I can take it into our playoff run as well," he said.

Contact with the staff has not slowed since the commitment. Rogers speaks with Freeman every week, and the conversations are rarely about football alone.

"He always gives me words of motivation before my games, so I really appreciate him, and I can't wait to play for him," said Rogers.

His relationship with Seider runs even deeper.

"It feels like we've known each other forever," he said. "Him as a coach, it's great, but not just as a coach, as a person. He's a great leader and a great person."

Seider has also set the standard. He has told Rogers he believes he has an extremely high ceiling Rogers has adopted the challenge as his own.

"My ranking and all that stuff really doesn't mean much to me, but it also does give me a chip on my shoulder to work harder," he said.

Rogers will see the Irish twice in the next two weeks. He will be at the Navy game this weekend at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., an away game close to home before heading to South Bend for the Miami showdown next week.

"It's going to be a great environment. I can't wait to go. A lot of the commits are going to go as well, so just to spend time with them and watch a great game. It's going to be fun. It's going to be a good time."
