Fall Camp Preview: Cornerback

Much like safety, it was a rough year at cornerback for the Irish in 2016. They lost veteran Devin Butler to suspension and Nick Watkins to injury before the season started. Then they proceeded to lose Shaun Crawford less than two games into the schedule.

Those were three of the top four cornerbacks on the team. Without them Notre Dame was forced to turn to true freshmen to fill in. Those freshmen had some nice moments, but they had plenty of freshmen moments as well.
