Notre Dame needed someone from the receiver position to step up during camp to line up opposite junior Equanimeous St. Brown. Grad transfer Cameron Smith seems to be the guy as Notre Dame is three weeks from the season opener against Temple.

"Outside of Equanimeous, I would say he’s been the second most consistent receiver,” Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly said after practice on Saturday.
