Young Already Planning Return to Notre Dame

2019 Wayne (Ind.) receiver Craig Young‍ is not a stranger to Notre Dame but the 6-foot-5, 200-pounder got another close look at the program on Saturday. Young was in South Bend as the Irish took on Georgia and despite the outcome of the game, the three-star prospect enjoyed his visit.

“It was cool,” Young told Irish Sports Daily. “I enjoyed the game the most.”

The Fort Wayne native was playing close attention to the Notre Dame offense during the game and felt the Irish were close to putting it together.

“The offense is great,” stated Young. “There were just a few turnovers that hurt Notre Dame, but the atmosphere was still pretty lit.”

Young didn’t get to speak to the staff on Saturday, but 2018 Notre Dame receiver commit Micah Jones‍ introduced himself to the Wayne star. 

“I spoke to the 6-foot-5 receiver out of Illinois,” Young recalled. “He told me why he committed.”

Young will now start to plan other visits to programs, and he will likely be back to Notre Dame this fall.

“Yeah, I will be back,” said Young. “I will visit all the schools that have offered me.”

Indiana, Toledo and Wisconsin have extended offers to Young.
