The Breakdown: ND Defense vs Georgia

As much as the performance on offense was discouraging for Notre Dame, the defense was the opposite.

The defense was not mistake free, but they have really played well the first two weeks of the season. The tackling was much improved from week one. I think many assumed they would struggle against running backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel. They did a very nice job containing both of them.

Defensive coordinator Mike Elko had a good gameplan against true freshman quarterback Jake Fromm.
