2019 FL LB Excited For Notre Dame This Weekend

Ricardo Watson III‍ was scheduled to visit Notre Dame a couple weeks ago for the Irish’s game against Wake Forest, but family commitments forced the 2019 Florida linebacker to postpone that trip, but not for long.

Watson will be in South Bend this weekend for Notre Dame’s home finale against Navy.

The 6-foot, 225-pounder from Armwood High School has early offers from Oregon and South Florida.

“As I’m still weighing my options, I know there are two schools that keep reaching out to me even if I don’t get anymore,” Watson said.

The Seffner, Fla., native likes what he’s heard from the Notre Dame staff so far.

“The mail the coaches send me,” he said of what has him interested in the Irish. “I like the facilities and the way everything looks.”

He’s looking forward to seeing it all for himself this weekend.

“I want to see the love from the fans and how their team cooperates together,” he said.

Watson, who is also receiving interest from schools like Central Florida and Boston College, said college coaches like the flexibility he brings to the linebacker position.

“I can play inside and out,” he said. “Sometimes, I play d-end and outside linebacker and I can play in the middle. They like that I’m versatile.”

He has a broad idea of what he’ll be looking for in a college.

“I want to make sure my family is good with it and see how well the coaches know me and what they can do for my future.”
