The Breakdown: Notre Dame Offense vs Navy

24 points is not what anyone expected against Navy. The numbers would indicate that the lack of offensive possessions were the main reason behind the lack of scoring with the Irish getting points on four of the seven possessions they had in the game (not including the victory formation plays to run out the clock). The fact that the offense averaged 6.7 yards per play (above their season average of 6.49) is another stat that shows that the offense may not have ben as bad either.
