38 points is 38 points. Despite turnovers giving Stanford a short field to work with a couple of times in the 4th quarter, I'm positive Mike Elko was not happy with the way his defense played overall and in the red zone in particular.

Notre Dame had a chance to make some stops and force them to settle for three instead of six, but the Cardinal were able to score through the air.
