Stepherson was pulled over speeding at 80 miles per hour in a 60 mph zone, but in addition to speeding, he also is charged with possession of marijuana, and no valid driver's license.
The next day (Friday), Stepherson was arrested with freshman running back CJ Holmes for shoplifting at Macy's at the University Park Mall.
Both players were suspended indefinitely by Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly from all football-related activities.
Stepherson missed the first four games of 2017 due to not having the right "traits," but sources have told IrishSportsDaily.com that he was suspended for those games.
In 2017, Stepherson finished with 19 receptions for 359 yards and five touchdowns.
