After getting a chance to see Notre Dame on Saturday, Damon Kaylor‍ would welcome the opportunity to return in the future.

“It went pretty good,” the 2019 offensive lineman from Indiana said. “It was a good experience.

“We got there, got pretty much an entire tour of the campus, ate lunch, went to the game, got on the field, saw everything. Then, we went to the locker room after that and got a chance to talk to Coach (Jeff) Quinn.

“He gave a presentation and then he just told me to keep training and to get out there for camp this summer.”

The 6-foot-5, 305-pound Kaylor enjoyed Quinn’s presentation.

“I really thought he was a good guy and obviously a great coach,” Kaylor said of Quinn. “I really liked the energy I saw.”

He was also impressed with campus in South Bend.

“It’s really, really beautiful and really well laid out,” he said.

The Huntington North High School standout currently sports an offer list that includes schools like Virginia, Cincinnati, Ball State, Miami-Ohio, Ohio and Western Michigan among others.

He said will “more than likely” attend one of Notre Dame’s camp sessions in an effort to land an Irish offer.

He doesn’t have any visits coming up, but acknowledged that would likely change soon.

“I’ll probably get out to Virginia here pretty soon and probably Boston College again this summer and probably make another visit to Cincinnati, Purdue and IU,” he said.

He already has an idea of what he’s looking for in a school.

“Definitely a good Business college. That’s pretty important because that’s what I want to major in. Then, just the energy and the coaches. Those are basically the top three things.”
