Top Notre Dame RB Target Kyren Williams Locks In Official Visit
2019 St. Vianney (Mo.) running back Kyren Williams released his Top 8 on Sunday afternoon of Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame and Stanford.
Williams visited Notre Dame in January for Junior Day and was blown away with what he saw, and the four-star prospect tells ISD the Irish will host him on June 15th for an official visit.
Notre Dame will also host offensive lineman Zeke Correll, offensive lineman Saleem Wormley, defensive end Aeneas DiCosmo and linebacker Spencer Lytle the same weekend.
Missouri will also get to impress Williams as the Tigers will get his first official visit on June 1st.
Williams was in Ann Arbor a few weeks ago and will return for his official visit to Michigan on June 22nd.
While academics are the driving factor in his recruiting, Notre Dame running backs coach Autry Denson had made a powerful connection with Williams and one that could be a tipping point later in the process.
“When we were at Junior Day, we were sitting in the running backs room, and he was very motivational,” Williams recalled. “Even my dad said he was ready to play after Coach Denson was done speaking.
“Our relationship is getting stronger. We talk on a daily basis, and he always sends a motivational quote or Bible verse every morning. We talk on the phone probably every week or every other week.”
Look for Williams to lock in a decision date in the near future, but the actual commitment might not come for a few months.
