Blayne Toll‍ would definitely fall into Brian Kelly’s category of Jumbo Athlete.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pounder is being recruited to play numerous positions, including quarterback, tight end and defensive end.

The 2020 Arkansas prospect already has several offers, including ones from Louisville, Oklahoma State, Memphis and Rutgers among others.

“It’s very exciting and surprising,” Toll explained. “Most of them are tight end and d-end.”

The Hazen, Ark., native will be in South Bend this weekend to camp at Notre Dame.

“When you think of football, you think of Notre Dame,” Toll said of the Irish.

Irish assistant coach Chip Long was at Hazen High School recently and left an invitation to the camp for Toll, who said that played a big part in his decision to add Notre Dame to his camp tour. He’s looking forward to getting a better feel for the coaches, campus and facilities while in town.

He isn’t sure what position the Irish are recruiting him to play but is looking forward to showing the staff what he can do on the field.

Toll has been clocked at 4.7 in the 40-yard dash and said he doesn’t have a position preference. College coaches have been impressed, but he admits he isn’t exactly sure what with.

“They just always tell me they like my film, but they don’t say why,” he laughed. They just say they like it.”

A few schools definitely have his attention already.

“Memphis and Arkansas,” said Toll. “I haven’t been to Oklahoma State yet, but it’s a real appealing school.”

What he’s looking for in a college is relatively simple.

“Just a place that feels like family.”
